Scriptures of the Month of September

I have been doing a 4 wk scripture writing on Contentment with the Reset girl in her group Faithful life club on FB. but I have been a week ahead ever since I started. So I am finished for Sept. I have 2 other bible studies going so I didn't want to get behind. We only did 4 verses in just 4 days in a wk so it was very easy and gave me time to be a little creative. These are the pictures of the 4 weeks. The verses were very helpful as I was reminded that it is the lords will that we be content in all things knowing He is in control and working all the time for our best.

  Isa 26:3 "You will keep me in perfect peace, when my mind is stayed on you because I am trusting in you Lord". 

And "Godliness and contentment are great gain", 1 Tim6:6  

There are lots of verses to look up on contentment and I enjoyed the study very much.  I drew out the pages of 1-3 and painted the background on wk4. Then tore the paper around the verses and glued them down.  It is fun to come up with a new idea for each week. Not that it is anything great but just a little creative and artsy.

I start our women's bible study at our church tomorrow morn and I am excited about that.  Glad to be health so I can go this yr.  We will be studying some of Psalms and Proverbs. This is the composition notebook I covered for the study. 

This is the first lesson in Psalm 1.

bible Study in HP

 

 I am still going through Colossians just 3 or 4 verses at a time and doing a little decorating of the pages in the Faith HP. Love this study. I really like to use my iPad for looking at the scripture in the Blue Letter Bible app as I can see 2 versions at a time and I can highlight in pastels. You can choose your own colors in the settings. Most bible apps you can not do that. I also like to look at the  commentaries they have. Very Good!

bible study time.

 I am doing a Psalms 119 study. I decided to go with this cute study book I got from amazon. It is called "Be still my Soul, 90 day bible study coloring journal". I love to color and study so it works for me.

Anyway we do just the 8 verses a day for 22 days. That is the Hebrew alphabet at the beginning of each 8 verses. I have read through this Psalm many times but this time I am making it a meaningful study about being in the word and obeying it.  Just love it!  UPDATE I did finish this study also at the end of may.   

Psalm 119: 1-4

1 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are the undefiled (the upright, truly sincere, and blameless) in the way [of the revealed will of God], who walk (order their conduct and conversation) in the law of the Lord (the whole of God’s revealed will).

2 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are they who keep His testimonies, and who seek, inquire for and of Him and crave Him with the whole heart.

3 Yes, they do no unrighteousness [no willful wandering from His precepts]; they walk in His ways.

4 You have commanded us to keep Your precepts, that we should observe them diligently.     

 I hope you are in the word daily not because you have too, but because you GET too!

Journaling

 I am still doing my bible study on these pages and really like them. I am doing pretty good but have missed a few days. I really want to be more consistent. I changed studies and am going through the book of Psalms now. God is so good!

This is a new book (Top left Pic is title) I got at Amazon. It has a weekly coloring page and a psalm a day. It is very nice.

Planner/ Journals

 I have been busy with planners/journals again. I found this nice turquoise one for .75c but did not like the large snap closure so took that off and replaced it with a a gem and elastic. The inside of it was all black so I glued this craft paper to the inside to brighten it up. I was going to use it for a scripture writing journal but not sure yet.  

 This is another cover I make and it is a lot like the one I gave to my daughter. I 

 liked it so much I make myself a another one almost just like it.

 My daughter gave me these Franklin Planner pages and I just love them. I am using them for my bible study notes. 

 These are the colors of the seasons this yr in the package.

 This is how I am using them. I am following along with Ron Moore on "Back to the Bible"
I get their emails. I write out the verse and what I observe and what it means to me. and a prayer. I also listen to their radio program and do a study and notes on that also. one of my goals is to be in the word daily and this is how I plan to make sure I do. If I have to add more notes say on one of the references I just add in a extra page. At the end of the yr, I store them in a 3" franklin covey storage binder. So this system is working out great for me.

So these are the three binders I am using. My retro one, my daily planner/journal, and my bible study, and etc. journal. I use and just love all three. 

As we all know it take a while of trying different ways of journalling and planner till we find what really works for us. This last yr has certainly been the case for me. But I am happy and content with what I have now.  

As I sit here at my computer it is snowing like crazy here in Idaho. Praying. Snow, then Ice is coming and then warn temps and flooding. May be power outage! Pray for all of us here. Thank you!

New bible journal

 I have been working on some thrift store journals I found for $1:50. This is an older Franklin quest  that was like new. It is 8 1/2 x 9 1/4, Just the right size for me. I added some Hobby Lobby gold stickers and washi tape for the front. 

I did several printouts of scripture cards from Pinterest. Added a few girly things I like. I decided I wanted to put things and colors in it that I really like and I love it! 

I printed out My cover page and laminated it. 

I also printed out my own lined paper and added a floral at the top of each page for color. 

I laminated this beautiful paper for a page finder and added more stickers. I love that we can get such wonderful christian stickers at Hobby Lobbly.

I write down study notes from what the lord is showing me either in scripture or a devotion or book. right now I am slowing reading the book of John again.

Tiny scripture Doodles

Here we are in August already! I finished up the tinyscripturedoodles in Proverbs. 

 I am now going to do them in Philippians along with the study and the readings of His Mercy is New. I hope to keep up with them all.

I had this extra set of 48 Prisma colored Pencils that I can now keep in this cute little pencil wallet I got at amazon. It holds 74 pencils and pens, just right to have with me when I do a little art or coloring. I hope you are all enjoying summer as I am and staying in His word.

Tiny Scripture doodles, and new Bible study

 I have been keeping up with my #Tinyscripturedoodles in Proverbs with Nichole at @Goosekeeperdesighns A chapter a day. Here we are half way done.

 Here we have one week left. Then we will start something new. 

 This is just a journal page I did in the Notability App. I was just experimenting but I like how it looks sense my hand writing isn't to good. I love all the fonts and colors.

Last week I finished the Ecclesiastics study with Women living well, and their next study is going to start August 1st in James.(I am not doing this one right now).  Darlene at Time Warp Wife took the summer off to move, But she is back and going to start the Philippians study on August 8th. I am excited to do this study with her! There is always something new to learn. Hope you can join us. scriptures and journaling

I am doing the Tinyscripturedoodle challenge that @goosekeeperdesigns is doing. I made my own page for this so I can put it in my binder. It is a chapter a day of reading in Proverbs.#Tinyscripturedoodle then you pick a verse to doodle. This is really fun to do and I being reminded and learning in the process.

I am still dong the Ecclesiastic study with Women Living Well. Great study. 

I also went back to my binder for my daily bullet journaling,

and to write my verse of the day in the Ecc study.

Time has been flying by and I have been enjoying family and summertime. Although it has been only in the 80s lately. I am working on some health issues, nothing major,  so not blogging as much. But will improve soon.

Scripture Journal,Ecc. Study and coloring page

This is a nice Cambrige journal/binder that I got at a thrift store for $2.00 a while back. I am going to use it now for mainly scripture writing.

I am adding 24 lb beautiful colored paper to my scripture journal. I bought the paper and just cut it in half. I just love color and this will make it a lot more interesting and fun

 Ecc. Study. It is going to be very good. I learned that the purpose of this book is to make us realize that our confidence in our own efforts, abilities and our own righteousness is meaningless without the Lord directing our lives by his Spirit! There is no satisfaction in life apart from God in our life! Let us commit all we do and say to him and let him led us today! 

Womenlivingwell Ecclesiastes Bible study officially started today. I am also reading a devotional by Ray Stedman The Power of His Presence a very good book. There is a section that goes through Ecc. Life is so meaningless without the Lord in our life. He gives us His word and understanding, a hope, a future, contentment, and a joy in life. I am so thankful to know Our lord and savior Jesus and to have His Spirit that lives in me! Hope you will join in the Ecc. Study!
