bible Study in HP

I am still going through Colossians just 3 or 4 verses at a time and doing a little decorating of the pages in the Faith HP. Love this study. I really like to use my iPad for looking at the scripture in the Blue Letter Bible app as I can see 2 versions at a time and I can highlight in pastels. You can choose your own colors in the settings. Most bible apps you can not do that. I also like to look at the  commentaries they have. Very Good!

Colossians 2:2
I want their hearts to be encouraged and joined together in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God’s mystery — Christ.

WK 8 DF-coloring book- journal

This is last weeks Documented Faith pages, still the theme is loving others. I drew out the boxes on the left and then watercolored them. I used yellow chalk around the edges and whipping it off to give it a faint color. then on the right is the lesson print out that I drew on and did some doodles. I glued it on some yellow paper to make it the right size for the journal.

This is a a coloring page I did in the coloring book Joy For The Journey. Such a nice book.

This is last week in my journal.  I also use chalk and rub it into the paper to give just a hint of color.
Last Saturday we celebrated our 56th Wedding Anniversary. My how time fly's!!!
This is wk-7 in my gratitude52 art journal. The prompt was Music! I used watercolors for the background on wet paper. I put it on my autoharp for the picture as it was fitting. I don't play it much anymore as the keys are hard to push down for me now. But I do love it and music too!
May God Bless you this week with His grace, peace and Joy!!

Drawing and writing

This is my little drawing of wk-6 in my Gratitude52 art journal. The prompt was love and I don't know of any greater love than that of our Lord Jesus Christ that laid down his life for us.

This is chapter Psalm139 I wrote out for last week and Romans 6 for this week. I just love this exercise as I am learning and being reminded of so many things. I could say so much about these two chapters but best that when you get a chance, to read them for your selves, or to write them out yourself. They are awesome!
Hope you are having a Blessed creative week! ❤️

New page in HP and DF wk 7

I thought I would try making my own planner/journal page with plain paper divided into 3rds in my HP. I like it so will try this for awhile. It give me the freedom to do a little more in a larger space. Its like don"t put me in those little boxes.

This is WK-7 of DF about God's Loves.
Click on pic to see it better. Love this study!!
May God bless and your creative day!

Happy Planner new DIY cover

This is my new Happy Planner cover I made. I sooooo love it!  How you ask?I used my  iPad, (or a iPhone) my wireless printer and an app called "print to size"(an apple app only). I am sure you have seen this picture before, it is an iPhone cover pic I took a screen shot of off of Pinterest. Then I edited it till I only had the pic. Then I went to the app, then photos, resized it in the app, then printed it. I cut it to the right size and laminated it 3 times to make it sturdy. Note- cut off the laminate really close to the paper the first 2 times leaving extra on the last time though. I also rounded the corners for a finished look. I Punched it and I was done, very easy. I am so ready for spring aren't you?

And this is my scripture writings for last week, all about Gods love and that we are to love one another. I really enjoy writing out the scriptures.
Oh and now you can follow me by email. Just sign in on the right!
May God bless you all.

Happy Planner and DF

Just a short post here. Last week in my Happy Planner I did some scripture writings on Psalm 119. I made the days horizontal again. That will be this months theme. This week I will be writing verses on Love.

I posted half of the study last time, but finished the other side. I love this prayer so I printed out another copy of it and reduced it to 75% and made a card for a friend of mine. I colored it at the same way. It turned out nice.
Have a very blessed creative day!

Documented Faith- week 4

Wk 4 in my group Art Journal. I am showing DF study on the right that I did. I took the print out for the week and did the borders, doodles, highlighting on it. On the back, below, I looked up three different versions of the scripture and some notes. I put them in Notability app and then printed them out with some more doodling around the edges. I was happier with the left side this week as I am starting to get a little neater in my writing, or should I say in printing which is hard for me.

In the HP I wrote out more songs from church that I really like. The first one is Good Morning Lord by clay Cross and is my favorite song and a wonderful prayer.

This is another print out from Stephanie Ackerman, DF, that was part of lesson three. This is another very nice prayer. I added to it a bit and colored it. I am just really enjoying this a lot.
I hope you will join in too!
May God bless your day!

Group Art and journals

This is my journal for the groups I am doing. I decided to put them all in one book.

Also to combine them on one page as you see on the right. This will look different each week of course. I think I can say the same thing in a smaller art format just like a larger one. On the left I keep tract of weekly art projects and groups. I can add note paper. tags, and other things in as I go along.I think these is going to work really well for me and less intimidating

In my HP in did a study in Ephesians! And did it like I did the last time.

I am still loving and using my everyday dori to journal in.
If you are looking for some planner printouts, go over to Art and Whimsy.
I finally found one I really like there. She has lots of cute ones.

So I printed these out, double sided, and made a booklet for the Month to put in my dori.
I really like it because these are things I like to keep tract of.  If I am not using say the shopping list for the day, then  I use the space for notes, a verse or something else. I decorate it sometimes too. By putting these things here on these pages, it gives me more room for my Journaling. Hope this give you some ideas for your art and journals.
Hope you all have a blessed creative day!

Happy Planner as a Devotional

Well I am trying some new again. I am using my Happy Planner for my bible devotional in a different way. I am still using my fauxdori for my journal and planner. I saw this idea and really liked it.
This weeks study is in Ephesians 5:15-21.  I use my iPad and the app Notibility and the Blue Letter Bible app. I copy the scripture I like and place it on a page in Notability. I make the size just right, print it our, cut and glue it to the HP. It did take me a while to figure this all out but now it is easy.
Some of the art cut outs are from a wonderful sweet artist Felicity French. I emailed her and got her permission to use them. They are so cute! The verses are in red and notes are in colors.
some are from commentaries. I hope to keep this up. I really like seeing the notes this way. but I realize there are lots of ways to do this same thing, even in a notebook.

I do hope you all have a Happy and very Blessed new year!

HP Planner & Markers

This is this weeks HP pages. I use the Zebra Mildliner markers mostly. They are pastels. I can also use them in my bible because they are so transparent. They make good highlighters.
It has been a busy week but nice. Hope you all had a nice Christmas, we sure did.  It is always so nice to be with family and see the children open presents.

An art page from a few yrs ago.

May God Bless You!

Happy planner pgs and Bible Study notes

In last weeks planner pages, I did a Christmas carol theme. I love all the carols and music this time of yr. All the little cut outs are clip art I found on google and glued them in. One of the things I do is I put double stick tape on all the cut outs and put them where I think I want them, but I wind up moving them around a few times before I glue them down when I am done. I found I would always change my mind or want to replace something. Any way It works best for me.

This is a screen shot on my iPad of my bible study yesterday. I use the app Notability for this.  I really liked it. This is my favorite app as I have said before.
I copied the scriptures and pasted them on a stickies note you get when you hit the plus sign at the top. Now you can move it, shape it any way you like. hit the + sign again and add any photo you like and same thing, you can size it and move it. This just happen to be some of the icon clip art I saved for my planner and journals. I love that you can choose any font. And change the colors and same for the pencil and highlighters. So easy and once you get the hang of it goes pretty fast. It saves it all in the subject you choose to name it. So that is my little tutorial on that for those that are interested.
May you all have a blessed and Merry Christmas!

Happy Planner pages

This is this weeks planner pages. This is the last week in our bible study in Numbers at Good Morning Girls. I just wrote some high lights or just a thought of the chapters on here. I write study notes in my bible study notebook. It was a good to read it again and glean even more. I love that Moses wrote every thing down, kept a record like God told him to do.
Another good example to write down the things that God is showing you, teaching you, and the things you see happening in your life and your families. It is always good to look back and see what God has done in your life. Maybe if the children of Israel would have done that did they would have seen their stubbornness and unbelief, and bad habits.  At least it would have made them think more about it.

It was very sad that they had to journey for 40 yrs when it should have taken 40 days. All because of their unbelief! I wonder sometimes if our lessons in life may be shortened when we fully trust Him, instead of questioning him all the time.
Well I hope you all have a blessed week  and document your life even if its just a simple notebook  :)

Happy Planner pages

This is last weeks pages in my Happy Planner. Some bibles study notes and some lists. I have been trying to lighten up now that fall is over and leaving more white space. It has been fun to work on this on these cold winter days we have been having.

So these are two of my favorite things to write in. I am still keeping a journal, it is  just that I am keeping it personal right now. My pages are not as decorative sense I am using the HP for that.

I do love pastels so I use the gel sticks and a baby wipe with a little water to add color to these pages in my insert. I am also cutting the edges with decorator scissors. I am also doing that in my HP now also. I just love the frilly look it gives. I know these pages look crinkly but they will lay flat with a heavy book on them. With use they also will smooth out.
One more week in the book of Numbers with GMG. I have also been going through the book of Job with Ray Stedman each day. GMG will study that next but I will have finished before they start after Christmas. Wow, only a few weeks away!
The Lord is good and worthy to be praised. OH how we need to thank him in the good seasons of life and the hard ones. He always knows what is best even when we don't understand. Trust Him always.
May the Lord bless your week and your creative time with Him.

HP week 8 and doodles

This is last weeks planner pages.

I made up a list of bible doodles just for fun and am using the HP calendar squares. I don't use this calendar because I use the one in my journal. So I am making good use of it.

I just finished the 31 doodles first of 3 list.  It was fun to do. you can save the list and give it a try on
any type of paper you choose.
Have a blessed creative day!
