Scriptures of the Month of September

I have been doing a 4 wk scripture writing on Contentment with the Reset girl in her group Faithful life club on FB. but I have been a week ahead ever since I started. So I am finished for Sept. I have 2 other bible studies going so I didn't want to get behind. We only did 4 verses in just 4 days in a wk so it was very easy and gave me time to be a little creative. These are the pictures of the 4 weeks. The verses were very helpful as I was reminded that it is the lords will that we be content in all things knowing He is in control and working all the time for our best.
Isa 26:3 "You will keep me in perfect peace, when my mind is stayed on you because I am trusting in you Lord".
And "Godliness and contentment are great gain", 1 Tim6:6
There are lots of verses to look up on contentment and I enjoyed the study very much.  I drew out the pages of 1-3 and painted the background on wk4. Then tore the paper around the verses and glued them down.  It is fun to come up with a new idea for each week. Not that it is anything great but just a little creative and artsy.

I start our women's bible study at our church tomorrow morn and I am excited about that.  Glad to be health so I can go this yr.  We will be studying some of Psalms and Proverbs. This is the composition notebook I covered for the study.

This is the first lesson in Psalm 1.
May the Lord bless you this week!

bible study time.

I am doing a Psalms 119 study. I decided to go with this cute study book I got from amazon. It is called "Be still my Soul, 90 day bible study coloring journal". I love to color and study so it works for me.
Anyway we do just the 8 verses a day for 22 days. That is the Hebrew alphabet at the beginning of each 8 verses. I have read through this Psalm many times but this time I am making it a meaningful study about being in the word and obeying it.  Just love it!  UPDATE I did finish this study also at the end of may.

Psalm 119: 1-4
Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are the undefiled (the upright, truly sincere, and blameless) in the way [of the revealed will of God], who walk (order their conduct and conversation) in the law of the Lord (the whole of God’s revealed will).
Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are they who keep His testimonies, and who seek, inquire for and of Him and crave Him with the whole heart.
Yes, they do no unrighteousness [no willful wandering from His precepts]; they walk in His ways.
You have commanded us to keep Your precepts, that we should observe them diligently.

I hope you are in the word daily not because you have too, but because you GET too!
Blessings,

scriptures and journaling

I am doing the Tinyscripturedoodle challenge that @goosekeeperdesigns is doing. I made my own page for this so I can put it in my binder. It is a chapter a day of reading in Proverbs.#Tinyscripturedoodle then you pick a verse to doodle. This is really fun to do and I being reminded and learning in the process.

I am still dong the Ecclesiastic study with Women Living Well. Great study.

I also went back to my binder for my daily bullet journaling,
and to write my verse of the day in the Ecc study.

Time has been flying by and I have been enjoying family and summertime. Although it has been only in the 80s lately. I am working on some health issues, nothing major,  so not blogging as much. But will improve soon.
May you be enjoying your summer, being creative and staying in the word.

Bible study and notes

I have been studying Proverbs 1 & 2 this week( about wisdom) using gel highlighters from Walmart, And different colored pens.  check post below about Jordan Lee's suggestions. Since I love color it really does help me to remember things better and is more interesting when I study. This is in my HCSB notetakers bible.

This is in my old Inductive study bible. I was experimenting with watercolors on the right and pastels and colored pencils on the left with pinks one of my favorite colors. My study here is in Psalms 148 - 150 about worship and praising the lord.
I am a little under the weather today so using the time being down to post here.
May God bless your time in the word this week!

The Purpose of Proverbs

These are the proverbs of Solomon, David’s son, king of Israel.
Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline,
to help them understand the insights of the wise.
Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives,
to help them do what is right, just, and fair.
These proverbs will give insight to the simple,
knowledge and discernment to the young.

Bible journaling and lessons

Week 3 finished in the study of A Virtuous life. I loved these coloring pages that go with the study. They are fun to do!

I printed out this ebook "Brighten your bible study" by Jordan Lee at Soulscripts! It makes bible study a lot more interesting by highlighting, taking notes, and thinking about it more. So instead of doing art journaling I am doing more studying  in this journaling bible. I have other ways to do scripture art.
May God bless your week and be creative!

Bible Journaling

I am going through Ephesians again and taking notes in my HCS
Notetakers bible. Also in My Happy Planner still.
Have a blessed week!

Happy planner pgs and Bible Study notes

In last weeks planner pages, I did a Christmas carol theme. I love all the carols and music this time of yr. All the little cut outs are clip art I found on google and glued them in. One of the things I do is I put double stick tape on all the cut outs and put them where I think I want them, but I wind up moving them around a few times before I glue them down when I am done. I found I would always change my mind or want to replace something. Any way It works best for me.

This is a screen shot on my iPad of my bible study yesterday. I use the app Notability for this.  I really liked it. This is my favorite app as I have said before.
I copied the scriptures and pasted them on a stickies note you get when you hit the plus sign at the top. Now you can move it, shape it any way you like. hit the + sign again and add any photo you like and same thing, you can size it and move it. This just happen to be some of the icon clip art I saved for my planner and journals. I love that you can choose any font. And change the colors and same for the pencil and highlighters. So easy and once you get the hang of it goes pretty fast. It saves it all in the subject you choose to name it. So that is my little tutorial on that for those that are interested.
May you all have a blessed and Merry Christmas!

HP week 8 and doodles

This is last weeks planner pages.

I made up a list of bible doodles just for fun and am using the HP calendar squares. I don't use this calendar because I use the one in my journal. So I am making good use of it.

I just finished the 31 doodles first of 3 list.  It was fun to do. you can save the list and give it a try on
any type of paper you choose.
Have a blessed creative day!

Happy planner wk 4

This is wk 4. I decided to try going horizontal this week to see how I like it. It give me more room to be artistic. If I go vertically I have to write so small and really no room to for verses but it is great to have the option in this planner. I didn't use any stickers this wk. I have been going through Numbers with Good Morning Girls, at Women living Well and learning new lessons AGAIN!
Nothing great here but I do enjoy it. When I shared it in a few other places I was so blessed that other ladies were going to use these ideas for their own bible studies and planners.

This was fun. Just replace the tea bag label with some cut out butterflies, cut a slit in the middle so it will set on your cup.
I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving this yr as one of our son's has just moved here and starting his own business. We will all gather at our daughters house. Nothing like family!!!
May God Bless your week.

Bible Art Journaling page

I finished the other side of this bible art page. I was not happy the way it turned out. I use Gesso and don't like the wrinking of the pages. So I will keep experimenting. Some of that is because I glued some of the verses on the page too.
Have a creative day!

Faith Art Journal Cover

This is the art Journal I am going to use for various projects I will be doing this new yr.
It is a Strathmore 140 lb watercolor paper journal.
I did the art work on a sheet of watercolor paper then glued it to the chipboard with PVA glue. I drew the words and uses some print outs and cut them out, some stamps and stencils. I have a ARC punch that also works for spiral binders so punched the paper to fit.

These are some of my favorite things on the cover and how I see them spiritually.

The flowers represent Growth and Gods creations.
The Butterflies, Salvation & freedom in Christ, no longer slaves to sin.
The Keys, His Spirit that gives us the keys to unlock the knowledge & understanding of God's word
The Hearts, Jesus My Lord lives in my heart, trusting & obeying.
Music, songs of Joy & Worship.
Bicycle, life is a journey. We are only passing through, always moving forward.
Love, Bears, believes, hopes & endures all things. Gods great love for us. We love Him and others.
Swirls, always bending to His will.
Green for growth/ orange for His Glory/ Tans & brown for being grounded in Him.

A very Happy New Year to you all and may God richly Bless you!

Lesson 4 & 5,done.

This is a pic from my Ipad as my computer was not available today.
This is lesson 4 at HKC I chose this song of praise for the praise and worship lesson. Love this song.

And even though I did this page a while back before I started this class of 5 lessons I am using it for lesson 5 as this is the verse in that lesson that is about loving others. So I am done, and just in time as things are getting busy in our family.
For anyone reading this I would like to ask you to please pray for my sweet Son in Law Richard, who we just found out has colan cancer. He is doing the natural method for a cure. He will have another MRI in a few months to see where he is at. We are all very hopful! Thank you so much.
I  hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Blessing,

Faith art lesson 3 At HKC

This lesson is on Colossians2:6-7
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.  NASB
And this is the NLT--And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
And the next verses are;

8 Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. 9 For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
Love the truth of His word.

Faith art Lesson 2 at HKC

This is lesson 2 of my faith art lessons at "His Kingdom Come". It is in Matt 14: 22-33 .I love doing lessons visually as it help to remember them. There are so many things to think about in these passages and lessons to be learned sometimes it is hard to have to move on. But It is so neat to look back at these pages when I need to be reminded AGAIN!!

I am also taking Lori Vliegen Doodle Page class at elvie studio blog. It is so good!
So much to do, Now I need to practice, practice on my lettering.

I am also doing daily journaling too. I try to do it every day but sometimes I miss a day or two. I will try to post some pics of a few more pages next week or so.

I hope you all have a Blessed Thanksgiving.
